WILLIAM BOWMAN aka Moare

William was baptised at Sutton on Derwent in 1791. He was the illegitimate son of John Bowman

and Mary Moare. John and Mary were married at Sutton on Derwent in 1802.

In John's will, he refers to William Bowman, commonly called Moare, as being his son.

At the time of William's first marriage his name which was entered in the Register was William Bowman Moare.

At the time of his second marriage in 1843, he is called William Bowman.

Baptised on the 26th September 1791, he married Ann Stilborn

on the 12th February 1822 at Wharram Percy, she died 29th June 1841 and is buried at Elvington.
