James Tilburn originally came from the Wilberfoss/Catton area.
He married Sarah Green on the 9th July 1812 at York.
They a had a daughter called Mary who was born in York in 1813.
They then had 3 children who were all born and died at Wilberfoss

Emily 1816 died unknown.
They then moved to Elvington where they had the following children

Thomas 1832
The family have had a long connection with the Clarke family, who lived at the Grange.
William and Thomas both worked there.
Thomas's children also worked at the Grange.
