Born in 1837 at Brighton. She had 2 sisters, Jessy and Eliza Anne.

In 1851 she was a pupil at a school at Clifton, Gloucs, and in 1861 Caroline and her sisters were visiting the Rector at Helpingham, Suffolk.

They were listed as fundholders.

Caroline married William Fairlie Clarke in the June 1/4 of 1870 at Bath, Somerset.

She is buried with her husband in Elvington Churchyard
